Introduction
This report was intended to provide caregivers the knowledge and strategies that would enable them to gain insight into the changing concept of writing (PRINT) and how to utilize the knowledge to facilitate teaching and learning.

As much as the emphasis was on hand writing, the ability to read was also recognized as one of the most reliable indicators of whether a child will attain the competences needed for writing in order to achieve academic success in school. It is an ageless concept developed in and out of school.

Additionally, more emphasis was placed on Professional Code of Conduct  and encouraged presentation of handwritten materials with care and aesthetic appreciation, fluency and legibility being the indicators of the handwriting styles.


Purpose
To enable caregivers develop knowledge, skills and values in teaching hand writing in ECD Centers.

Target group and scope of work
The training covered topics on writing and printing which targeted the caregivers from the following ECD Centers ; Kanyanya, Mulago 1, Bwaise1, Kazo Central,  Mulago 11, Kazo Angola, Mulago 111, ,Kyebando Central
